FakeDesktops is for novelty and entertainment. Do not use it to deceive someone in a harmful way: fraud, phishing, fake tech-support scams, or impersonating security warnings to extort anyone. Pranks only.

If you upload a screenshot you confirm it has no offensive content and no private or personal information, and that you have the right to share it. You grant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute the image on the site and in link previews.

Trademarks and product names belong to their owners. FakeDesktops is not affiliated with Microsoft, Apple, Google, Canonical, or any other operating-system maker.

We moderate at our discretion and may reject or remove anything, including screenshots that show personal data, fake support phone numbers, or real-brand phishing pages. Joke error messages and blue screens are fine.

Copyright notices

If you believe an image infringes your copyright, email the contact address on the privacy page with: the URL of the desktop, a description of the work, your contact details, a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act, and a statement that the notice is accurate. We will remove material that we confirm infringes.

The service is provided without warranty. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, unless the owner publishes a different jurisdiction here.
